“This was the best show yet. We had record attendance and raised $14,000 for the Booster Club, an increase of 40% over last year,” said Anna Fattore, Fashion Show Chairperson.
This year’s event took place on Sunday, February 24 at Bobak’s Signature Room. When the doors opened at 11 AM, attendees were greeted by the fabulous sounds of the award-winning NNHS Jazz Band, a ballroom decorated in an “Extra-terrestrial” theme as well as a group of Dads dressed in tuxedoes and suits selling tickets to the raffle which included over 40 prizes all donated by local businesses and NNHS parents.
After lunch and a performance by North’s Vocal Pop Chorus, over 120 senior models, each representing their extra-curricular teams and clubs, showcased the latest fashions from local independent retailers as well as national chains with outlets in Naperville. From athletic wear to day wear to the always popular prom wear, the fashions and the models electrified the crowd.
All proceeds from the ticket sales and raffle will go to the NNHS Booster Club so they can continue to support the wide range of student activities, clubs and teams available to all students at Naperville North High School.
A huge thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make this event possible and to all the local merchants who donated fashions, hairstylists, make-up artists, accessories and food. We could not have done it without you.
